The Last Post….

1.  They should have shot and killed the son of a bitch.  He didn’t learn a thing and will do it again when he gets out in 3 months.

2.  What’s faster than a speeding bullet? A Peoria City Manager leaving town.

3.  I’m sick of taxes and fees.  Now Natural Gas.  What’s next?  My farts?

4.  People are smart.  The public is full of idiots. Witness the last election.

5.  Our city leaders just don’t get it.  Our choices for At large aren’t that great considering some are retreads.  The bullshit will continue.

6.  So many bloggers.  What’s one less?  Someday people will ask; “Where there really bloggers on that there internet thing?”

7.  I just don’t give a damn anymore.  You can’t fix stupid.

8.  If Palin becomes President, I become Canadian.

9.  I’m sick as shit of picking up a paper and seeing an array of black men arrested.  Where are the whites?

10.  I’m not Irish American, Anglo American, Polish American, Afro American.  I am a fucking American.  Why the labels?  Until the labels stop, we will always be divided.

11. I worked all my life.  I was blessed with a decent job and held many.  I made many mistakes and I scored once in awhile. I raised my kids and they are successful.  The police never visited my door nor did I have to bury a son because of drugs and gun violence.  When is society going to wake up?  My wife has stood by me and I stand by her.  Without her early in my life, I’d be dead.  She is my best friend and I only need one best friend. I don’t mind helping those in need because we all walk a fine line from dependency and needing the help. I sure wish those who cheat the system and give it a black eye, stop raising fatherless kids who think the working folk owe them.  Respect goes a long way and it must be earned.  I could care less if gays want to marry, love is love and this damn world needs more love  than anything else.  I don’t like politicians, either Democrat or Republican but this is what we have and it won’t change until this country goes into anarchy. Sans a revolution, this country sadly is on it’s way out.  Witness the crap the GOP is pulling now that they are in power.  No jobs, no health care and as a result, millions of Americans will die in what is debatably the richest country on Earth.  CEO’s and Brokers will continue to make millions in bonuses, and working middle class people who worked hard for their retirements will continue to dumpster dive for food.  We should be ashamed.  We are not.  Politicians will steal your kids lollipops and then deny it.  I owe no one an apology for my opinions here.  Opinions mean nothing otherwise Peoria wouldn’t be building a needless museum and a needless hotel.  Who’s going to stay here and look at anything?  I’m done banging my head and beating my drum.  I can offer no solutions and at my age in life I can see no light at the end of any tunnel.  I will continue to muddle through life, get mine, and screw everyone else.  I don’t need a fancy car, or a big pickup, or the latest iPhone, or even a big HD flat screen TV.  In other words, I don’t need to spend to fester my ego.  I am generally happy where I’ve been in life.  Would I trade it for what I know now?  No.

12.  If there is a God, it would be a good time for her to show up.

Good post. I can definitely relate. Why did you orginally start your blog?

Blogging will eventually disappear, especially as dissent is suppressed by Dems and Republicans, as people become more intimidated by TSA and government in general, and as people figure out that their opinions about Dancing With the Stars doesn't matter.

Kids will say, "Why did your generation spend so much time writing about how you feel about stupid crap and what you had for lunch?"

They will not be told about how blogging brought crooked journalists to their demise and shook rogue regimes to the core and reported on things the mainstream media bypassed.

Future generations will plug into some euphoria machine, and just experience pleasures and virtual adventures, with no thought of sharing it with others.

Sealed in insane continuums, they will submit to any tyranny and will feel fine about being impoverished slaves working for the World Bank.

re: #3, yes and it should be taxed heavily as a deterrent and a safety concern.

#9. I am all for equal opportunity

#8...I'd be happy to learn to knit you sweater myself just so you stay warm.

#10...the division and labeling allows racism to thrive and those who foster it (Don Jackson) stay in power.

Greetings,

This is a message for the webmaster/admin here at peoriaantipundit.blogspot.com.

Can I use some of the information from your blog post above if I provide a link back to this site?

Thanks,
Mark

Use what you want, thanks for the link back. From where though?

Emerge: Long story long: When I developed a neuro disorder in 2006 that left me pretty much in front of a TV or a computer for a long time, I found the local blogs and then I found I could vent my frustrations and I seemed to feel better about it. Imagine my surprise when people started to read them too. So, when I get wound, I vent. Sometimes I feel better, and sometimes I feel worse for publishing because it is hard for me to get my view across on some subjects and I tend to offend more than I inform.

Why do the Smart People in Peoria insist on hiring city managers that have NO intention of staying here. Are they trying to find another Korn-hole or is the pool of their type of people (yes men) too small?

There are those of us that you DO inform and the rare times that I do not agree with you, I am no at all offended. An opinion is just that, an opinion. I don't know that you have ever said that we all need to agree with your opinions. If you stop posting, it will be Peoria's loss. You put things in perspective like no one else. I would miss the laughs your posts give me and the thinking you make me do.
