Peoria High School. Dateline today: Three girls in the lunch line get into a knock down drag out fight ruining lunch for many others as they knocked over trays and food onto the floor as innocent (?) bystanders ran for cover. Police, not Security, but Peoria Police arrive. Girl threatens to kick cops ass. Cop smiles and says go for it and you’ll be tased. Other girl lips off to cafeteria manager. Manager tells her to stop acting like an animal and get out and don’t come back until you act civilized.
Let’s see…..these kids are animals and they are running the zoo. The only time the keepers enter the cage is when the animals fight each other. I wonder why we didn’t have police or fights in high school when I went. What was missing then? hmmmmm.
Dateline last weekend: Imagine you are leaving a high end Peoria Heights restaurant (is there one in the Heights other than the Pizza Works?) . Anyway, you are a young girl, 20 years old and you had a little bit too much to drink at that restaurant and while driving out of the parking lot, you hit a car and leave. You are latter stopped by police but instead of jail, DUI, lawyers, notice in the paper, you are quietly released to your mother. How? If your mother is the Peoria County Coroner then maybe you have some pull. I love laws for us and laws for them, don’t you? How do you buy drinks while being under 21? Why isn’t the restaurant's liquor license in question here? Ask the Sheriff. I mean his son hit a dear in a county owned car while under cover and drunk???
Well if you are underage and drunk and have a hit and run and aren’t from the privileged few, then be prepared to have your ass stripped search and thrown in the county lockup out on Maxwell Road. Ya got to love politics on the local level.
Dateline: Today. I see that guy who beat that 16 year old boy to death because he allegedly caught him breaking into his house, is charged among others, with second degree murder. He claims he was alone and confronted and defended himself. The burglars claim he had friends. Who to believe? The thugs or the thug?
Dateline: Monday. Yet another new program is being offered in District 150 at Lincoln School. Called ADVID. Supposed to be a good program. Programs cost money and most that District 150 have had…failed. Why is it that for a certain segment of society we have to have special programs. We have had special programs for over 40 years of some sort and have we seen any results? I guess if you count ex-prison guards making 6th graders march in hallways, that is a success. Here’s a thought. Do the fricking school work offered! It worked for generations of people for years and years. No frills. Math, reading, History, the basics. People were educated and went on. Why yet another special program? Throw more money at it? What a waste. The schools aren’t the problem nor are the teachers. It’s the idiots who are allowed to bear children without accountability for generation after generation that has caused this. Hold the damn parents responsible for their kids and stop making up programs and drop off points so they can unload their kids and blame the system. It’s always the system at fault. FEH
Of course these stories are alleged. Only the innocent will post and swear that it isn’t true. Of course.

And whatever happened to the young Ardis who got the DUI? Funny how these things just kind of go away......
Good questions with good answers! We are ALL wondering about the "privileged" arrests (not) and the schools that are now zoos versus places of learning. Who made these decisions to change things??!! Who will reverse these horrific errors in judgment?!?! Our society is broken indeed by our permissive laws and perverted welfare system.
RE: The girls at Peoria High: When will some one do something to get these white girls in line??
about the cornoner's drunken 20 year old hit and run floozie.... wow anyh notice how quick that story got buried at the pjstar? looks like johnna ingersoll has a lot of people protecting not only her image but also her little precious drunk driver. The restaurant was that high end joint called Seven. The occasion was a private party, and the 20 year old little princess was served enough booze to cause her to side swipe an occupied car and drive off. How in the hell did a cornoner's little cherub get out of a ride to jail??? shit, it's not like momma wouldn't have been to maxwell road in one hot minute post bail for precious. this is a fuckin outrage. pap you should open a youtube acct. for your blog and post vids of you ambushing unsuspecting people that you write about to get some answers.
Dist. 150 cafeteria fights. Those students aren't animals. more like monsters or demons. the animals at the zoo are far better behaved. noooo comparison.

Special programs that only certain children can get into have been in schools as long as I can remember. The only difference here is the AVID program is in a school south of Forrest Hill.
Speaking of special, where is the news report about the white boy arrested with a gun at Peoria High School at 2:30 on Monday? They said his name and gave his complete description on the scanner, yet nothing in the news. Why is he special?
Just an addendum to agree with "desert planes" and to add to my above prior comment: if the police must taser these out-of-control monsters at school, then the parents, et al, would be yelling about Police Brutality! And yes, what a miscarriage of justice in this drunk driver hit-and-run, underage drinker debacle! Only in Peoria . . .
Why no cops when we went to school, PAP? We didn't need any. We were more afraid of our parents finding out about our misdoings than the cops.
My only defense of Seven. Being in the restaurant biz as long as I have, I've seen sooo many sneaky, underhanded ways people buy underage people drinks. Before we start yanking liquor licenses, lets check out friends, co-workers and business associates....you know, the people she was there with, probably knew her age and let her leave plastered.
Yvonne poo,, Are you sure you heard that right? I can't find that report anywhere. And why would they need to give a "full description" of the boy? Wouldn't "white" be enough of a description. you're talking about a grain of salt in a bowl of shit.
As you know, Emtronics, I you and I are almost always on the same page about District 150--I certainly agree with all your comments in this post. However, I am upset by the number of racist comments that follow your post. These people do not seem to understand that you are not a racist--so I thought I would just let them know that you and your sons didn't bigotry to your Manual experience.
I do agree with Emerge that most of the special programs have heretofore been at schools north of War Memorial. However, no matter where the programs are, I think the hype about many of these new programs is blown way out of porportion--and the programs probably won't be carried out with integrity.
Also, Emerge is not wrong about the white 17-year-old who approached PHS with a gun--and, yes, it would be interesting to know if he is a student and how his punishment compares to others who bring weapons to school.
Well since "color" was brought into this I checked today about the white boy with the gun. Yes the police were at PHS yesterday afternoon. They had a report that a white student, who had been threaten by a mob of black students brought a gun to protect himself. After what I saw this afternoon just as school let out, I wouldn't have blamed him but the report was false. No gun. On the other hand 4 people were fighting in the halls with about 20 kids watching and cheering them on. You see, it's a right of passage to say you are going to fight someone and then do it. Law of the jungle? At any rate, I was with a Chartwells Food service rep and as we watched, the kids had look out and when security was coming they would yell and the fight would move. It finally moved outside and there were 5 police cars with lights on trying to round them up as they scattered like the thugs they are. Think about the resources this city spends on this crap with the police alone. Think about someone getting hurt and needing an officer but there are none because they are busy trying to control the animals that run the zoos know as District 150.
the young ardis kid did his time and court required shit
again this is brought up...how long ago this happen 5 years? let it fucking go
Neal
After they stopped the person, I clearly heard the officer say it was a b.b. gun, unloaded.
Fights like this are common every day at MHS and PHS. No big surprise there. And as always the kids run to the fights. They should all be disciplined when they do. But in District 150 that is a joke.
Neal, I must have missed it in the Journal Star, which is the place where the commoners have their names printed for D.U.I.'s.
Bigots and Racists and Right Wingers, OH MY!
I hope that Cloyd becomes the voice of reason for District 150--there can be fights in the streets, but the same kid shouldn't fight twice and still be in a regular District 150 school. Half or more of this violence would stop if kids knew for sure there were consequences--and those who don't care simply wouldn't be allowed back. Cloyd said Monday night that if a student gets more than 3 suspensions, he/she doesn't get it and should be at an alternative site. (That is, also, what the board policy states--so the only change needed is to follow policy).
Whether it is a bb gun or a real gun, according to law (I think), it is considered the same depending how is represented. If I point a bb gun at you and you think it is real, according to Illinois law, it is treated as if it was a real gun. Of course what do I know.
Imagine the terror the other driver experienced when the 20-year-old driver came at her head-on. How that driver gathered her wits and followed the drunk is just incredible. Had she not, young coroner's daughter would have gotten away or worse.
This evening our misunderstood, and oppressed youth were walking up the street smashing their empty alcohol bottles in a number of driveways...high school kids, alcohol, not a cop in sight and certainly no parents.
